Bank reconciliation

Every cash-book line paired to the bank statement, with the reason when it is not.

Upload the cash book, the bank statements and the bank confirmation. Deixio proposes how to pair the items, code does the matching and the sums, and you decide what needs follow-up.

Illustrative overview of Bank reconciliation end to end: your intent, tests the AI proposes and you approve, the run, results you decide and the workpaper you sign, then run again next period.
Illustrative · sample data

Reconciling items hide in the timing.

Payments clear days after they are booked, references go missing and statements arrive as PDFs. Pairing it all by hand is slow, and every reconciling item still needs a source.

From the plan to the findings, every decision is yours.

02Tests · The AI proposes, you approve

Tests drafted from the evidence and your intent.

The AI looks through the evidence and proposes each test with what it proves, its population, its sources and what counts as an exception. It lists what it noticed and asks its questions. Nothing runs until you approve the plan.

  • Timing differences
  • Items in one source only
  • Amount and date disagreements
  • Duplicates
  • Unrecorded bank items
Illustrative example: tests for bank reconciliation drafted by the AI, with one added by the auditor, and an approve control.

  • Timing differences
  • Items in one source only
  • Amount and date disagreements
  • Duplicates
  • Unrecorded bank items

  • Statement continuity

What you get

  • Matched and unmatched items with their sources
  • Findings
  • The workpaper

What the auditor sees.

Illustrative example: a findings list where one finding is confirmed by a reviewer with a date, and others wait for a decision.
Illustrative · sample data

Every decision is a person’s.

Findings wait for a decision: confirm, reject or ask the client. Signing is blocked while any finding is open, and each decision records who and when.

Illustrative example: a figure opened beside its source page, with the box where it is printed, the AI’s confidence and who accepted it.
Illustrative · sample data

Every figure explains itself.

Open a figure to see the page it was read from, the box around it, how sure the AI was and who accepted it.

Watch one procedure run, figure by figure.

In 30 minutes we run a procedure end to end on sample data and show you where every figure comes from.

  • A source for every figure
  • Human in the loop
  • Append-only, hash-chained audit trail

Questions about bank reconciliation

Who decides the clearing window?

You do. The AI proposes pairing on reference first, then on amount within a clearing window, and you approve the window before anything runs.

Can it prove the closing balance?

The AI proposes a balance proof against the bank confirmation. Code does the sums; you decide what the result means.

Our cash book has separate debit and credit columns.

That is fine. Code builds a signed amount from the two columns, even when one side is left blank.

Can the statements be PDFs?

Yes. Statement figures go through the same “printed there” check as every other figure read from a document.

What happens to items that do not pair?

They are listed with the reason, beside the line they came from, for you to decide.
